I had the pleasure of speaking at the Driving Sales Executive Summit last week about how car dealerships can identify and leverage local influencers to build word of mouth. Having participated in several of these extended test drives, I think it’s a great opportunity to reach a new audience. Additionally, I believe often times small businesses can start with influencers who have already self identified themselves as a fan of the business. These folks are much more likely to be an advocate of the business. As marketers we know that advocacy is far greater than influence. An unaided referral of your business is the ultimate goal for marketers. Below are the slides I presented.
