Social Media and Cheating Interview on NBC

On June 13, 2011, in Facebook, Social Media Marketing, Twitter, by Mike D. Merrill (@mikedmerrill)

There is no hiding the fact that I am passionate about the power of social media to transform how businesses and consumers communicate. That’s why I was pretty excited Friday night to participate in NBC 5’s Nightly News Nonstop Nightly show at 6:30pm with Jane McGarry. It was great to see “how the sausage gets made” inside the studio.

While this was my first opportunity to be interviewed on the news, I told Jane I’d stop by anytime :)

What were your thoughts on the story?

  • Eric VanderSchaaf

Great bit! Awesome you got on the news Mike!

    Thanks Eric!

That cracked me up when she expected you to know how long phone companies keep text.  How are you supposed to know?

Seriously good work Mike.  Very proud to have had you as a boss in the past and a mentor for the future.

Well I should have said what the lawyer replied. It’s still a computer and everything is stored on it.

Great job, you were very natural and knowledgeable.  Ditto the silliness of “how long phone companies keep text” question… Great work.

    Thx Nate
